If you have customized your reports or operating summary, don't
forget to back them up before installing this update. This
update will NOT alter your existing contract, nor will it alter
your existing data. Nevertheless, always do a complete backup

Update
Cash Advance Pro Server (6-30-05) - (1.1
MB) This file will update the Cash Advance Pro Server. You
must stop and exit the database server program or database
service
program before
running this update. If you run the desktop server, right
click on the server icon located in the system tray near the
clock
in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Choose Exit.
Then run this update. For most users, this is all that needs
to be done. However, some users of Windows 2000 server
or Windows XP might be running the database server as a service.
If you are running the server as a service, uninstall it first
by entering "ffsrvice /u" at a command prompt logged
onto the cash advance pro folder. Then run the update
program.
The update will start the desktop server automatically, so if you
want to run the server as a service, you must exit the desktop
server
again after the update completes. Next, reinstall the
service by entering ffsrvice /i at a command prompt.

(2.9 MB) This file will update an existing Cash Advance Pro
3.0 or higher system
to version
3.5. Version 3.5 will update many of the standard reports

(639 KB) This software transfers data from a source database
to a destination database. It may be used to consolidate
several stores into one database, using an internet connection.
It also may be used simply to pull operating summaries and
other information into a home office. It also may be used
to transfer customer information from several stores into
another store. This merge utility costs $295. A password
is needed in order to install it. The license fee for this
software grants unlimited use in as many locations
as you like.

below. We have many additional contracts available, and we also
can customize a contract for you.
One
way to update your default contract:
Right clicking on the contract desired, choose "Save target
as." Then navigate to your Cash Advance Pro\Reports
folder (by default it is under Program Files), then change the
File Name
to Contract.rtm by finding Contract.rtm in the list of files shown
and clicking on it. If you are downloading a Title Loan or Installment
Loan contract, you may set the file name as Contract2.rtm or
Contract3.rtm, etc. After setting the correct file name, click
Save. You
will be informed that the file already exists and asked, "Do
you want to replace it?" Answer Yes to start the download
which will replace your contract with the new downloaded version. (This
description is for Internet Explorer. Different browsers
or different versions of Internet Explorer may act differently
from
this description.)
The
above contracts are for Cash Advance Pro 3.1 or higher version
only. If you have our older product, Rentpro
Loans, you need to upgrade to Cash Advance Pro. If you download
the contract file without changing the file name, you will need
to rename it to Contract.rtm and place it in your Reports folder
(usually \Program Files\Cash Advance Pro\Reports). Overwrite
the existing contract to make this one effective.

Cash Advance Pro Custom Report Templates
Use these report templates as starting places
for your own custom reports.
These templates are specifically for loading into the custom
report area. They include a data module. To download
in Internet Explorer,
right click and select "Save Target As."

Conversion
Utility - Program to assist in converting Rentpro Loan data
files over to Cash Advance Pro.
Compatibility Issues
Riched20.dll -
Users of Windows 95 or Windows 98 purchased prior to 1999 might
have problems printing
some contracts and reports. The text of the contract or
report will look garbled in that some of the code for rich text
is itself
being printed instead of translated into formatting information.
To fix this problem, you can either upgrade to Windows 98 Second
Edition or newer, or download this system file and copy it into
your \Windows\System folder. You will be overwriting a
file located there. It would be a good idea to rename
your existing file to something like riched20.dlb in case you
need to restore
it later. Other programs you use might also use this file
and there is no way to predict any side effects. Generally
speaking, however, the newer file is backwards compatible with
older
programs. You should not try copying it until you have
done a fresh boot without running any other programs. If
after doing a fresh boot you still have trouble copying it in,
boot to
a DOS prompt by pressing F8 on startup, then try to copy the
file into the \Windows\System folder from the DOS prompt.
Windows
Vista WinHelp - Users
that have upgraded to Windows Vista and are using a
version of Cash Advance Pro prior to version 4.85 might need
to install this from Microsoft's website in order to view
the WinHelp style files used in version 4.84 and earlier.
Users of the current version of Cash Advance Pro will not
require this file.
